Turning your passion and Knowledge into a JOB!

I find people who use their personal knowledge as a way to increase their income, Brilliant to say the least, your not investing your own money to buy something, and then resell it for profit, you are just selling your knowledge. When I moved back to California, my friends just assumed that since I had a Boutique for so many years in Germany, that I would open one here, they were all a bit shocked, when I answered with an adamant NO!  I love the aspect of small business, I admire what it represents, but would I do it again, the answer is no! I know work occasionally as a stylist/Wardrobe Consultant and love it, I am pleased to see the life changing effect, that my knowledge of simply showing someone how to dress, and coordinating their wardrobe can do for their personal life and career.

I read this article on Melinda Farina "The Plastic Surgery Dealer" on NyMag.com and was intrigued. She started out as a Dental Hygienist for a celebrity Cosmetic Dentist, once she  realized she could capitalize on her knowledge, and the network of Doctors that were available to her, and her client referral list. she created a business model, 226 doctors on her networking list, each paying her $10,000.00 a year subscription for her referrals.
